The Races 14k (8.67miles)

The Virginia is For Lovers 14k starts in front of the Virginia Beach Field House.  Click here for directions. The race takes the runners past the Princess Anne Athletic Complex, US Olympic Field Hockey Training Center and the Sportsplex Stadium. This fast, flat course finishes inside the Virginia Beach Field House where runners can celebrate with music, food, beer and award ceremony. The 1.4 mile run starts at the same place as the 14k.

There will NOT be awards for the 1.4 mile run.

**The 1.4 Mile Run  is a 1.4 mile run open to participants of all ages.  Parents or guardians are encouraged to run with their minor children but must be registered for the race.  Responsible adult family members must be present at the finish to receive their minor children as there will be no additional security beyond the secured finisher’s area, and no specific parent/child reunion area.

Couples & Relay Teams

Grab a partner and compete in the couples or relay team category. Assign a team captain, come up with a creative team name and make sure that BOTH runners sign up under that name. Click here for instructions on how to create a team or join an existing team.

Couple Teams (14k Only)

Couples pic

Couples teams consist of three categories male/female, male/male, and female/female. Both participants have to run the entire 14k and their combined times will be scored against other couples in the same category. Top 3 couples in each category will place and receive an award.

 

Relay Category (14k Only)

Relay hand off

Anyone can partner together in this relay race. The hand off is at Cupids Corner around mile 3.7. The first participant runs approximately 3.7 miles and the second participant completes the other 4.99 miles. Relay categories are: male/female, male/male, female/female. Top 3 in each category place and receive an award.
